The genius of the Mexican
HUGO THE INVENTOR was once tired of being cold in the shower while the hot water arrived, and sad to see how the water was wasted down the drain, so he decided to put a bucket to recover that water.
Over time he noticed three things: first, when using that water in the toilet, it took up more than what was really necessary to “flush” it; second, that it was still cold; third, that he would end up with a herniated disc from carrying buckets.
From there was born, 14 years ago, that great idea that would give rise to a series of prototypes that 7 years ago became Hydroloop®, the first 100% Mexican invention that can save billions of liters annually, thanks to its use, at home.
HUGO THE INVENTOR, today, like more and more people, helps save the planet while staying warm, and avoiding risks to his back.
The ingenuity behind the genius
We are a team of ingenious, multidisciplinary professionals, who decided to join forces with HUGO THE INVENTOR. We are identified by the same objective: before leaving this world, we must LEAVE OUR DROP OF WATER for the following generations.
We dedicate ourselves body and soul so that this project, and the other technological developments that we have in process, give the opportunity to anyone who wishes to save thousands and thousands of liters of water in the comfort of their home.
HUGO IVÁN SALAZAR UGARTE
He began studies in Industrial Design at the Universidad Iberoamericana and later completed a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing at the Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico City Campus). At the Autonomous University of Querétaro he studies the Master’s Degree in Technology Management and as a Conacyt Scholar he carries out a research stay at the University of New Mexico where he begins the development of various potential innovation projects.
For 20 years he has worked as a professor at the Universidad Anáhuac de Cancún, the Inter-American University for Development, the Universidad Anáhuac de Querétaro, the Universidad del Valle de México Campus Querétaro and until the beginning of 2020 at the Autonomous University of Querétaro teaching various master’s level subjects related to marketing topics, entrepreneurial development, intellectual property, creativity and innovation.
He has a Title and different Industrial Property procedures. He appears in the Catalog of Mexican Inventors 1980-2000, he was head of the Innovation Workshop at the Escuela Libre de Negocios, Coordinator of the Entrepreneurial Center of the FCA, UAQ and Director of Innovation at CIINOVA.
He is currently concentrated in the Research and Development unit of the Green Laboratory company, working, after 10 years of project, on the commercial launch of the HYDROLOOP, a device to avoid the waste of cold water before the hot water reaches the watering can. Project that has received various recognitions, including 3rd national place in the CleanTech Challenge Mexico 2014 and third national place in the Heineken Green Challenge.
